Reporting the Receipt of Gifts or Honoraria

HB 6011 requires Florida officials and certain government employees (including "reporting individuals" like elected officials and "procurement employees" handling contracts) to annually report gifts or honoraria exceeding $100. They must disclose the giver’s name, gift/honorarium description, dates, total value, and attach prior reports by July 1 each year. Reporting individuals file with their financial disclosure office, while procurement employees file with the Commission on Ethics. The bill also mandates similar annual disclosure for honoraria expenses related to events. It would take effect July 1, 2026.
