Consumer Protection; Removes provision requiring department to automatically convert registrations of approved registered insurance agencies to insurance agency licenses; prohibits entity from unlicensed activity as adjusting firm unless entity complies with specified requirement; authorizes department to disapprove use of insurance agency names containing words "Medicare" or "Medicaid"; revises timeframe in which insured or claimant may cancel public adjuster's contract to adjust claim without penalty or obligation; specifies requirements for written estimates of loss provided by public adjusters to claimants or insureds; revises timeframe in which insurer must begin investigation after receipt of proof of loss statements; requires insurer to keep records of adjusters interacting with policyholders; requires insurer to include specified notices when providing damage estimates or claim payments.
