This bill designates the month of May as "Veterans Month" throughout the State of Delaware. The primary mechanism of the legislation is to amend the Delaware Code to officially recognize this specific time frame for honoring military veterans. Once enacted, the change serves as a formal state acknowledgment rather than creating new laws or funding. It directly affects the state's official records and calendar designations without altering existing programs or benefits.

This Concurrent Resolution encourages the Department of Veterans Affairs (Department) to explore and make recommendations on the feasibility of establishing a veteran’s cemetery in Kent County, Delaware, and to submit a report containing those recommendations no later than January 1, 2027.

This Act gives the Secretary of the Delaware Department of Veterans Affairs discretion to allow interment of a member of the Delaware National Guard who served for less than 20 years.

The Delaware National Guard is in need of military judges and wants to use qualified military judges who are retired from the Delaware National Guard.

This Act modifies the eligibility standard from 100% disability to 80% disability or greater for veterans to qualify for the credit against taxation on qualified property and corrects a typographical error.
