AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF MINORS AT LEAST SIXTEEN YEARS OF AGE IN THE WORKPLACE.

This bill directs the Labor Commissioner to conduct a study on job positions currently restricted for sixteen and seventeen-year-old minors under state and federal laws. The study must examine both positions prohibited by state law and those prohibited only by state law but allowed federally, with results and recommendations due by January 1, 2027. The findings will be submitted to the labor committee for review, potentially informing future legislative changes regarding minor employment restrictions.
