HB 6903 establishes a one-year pilot program (2026-2027) to provide expectant mothers receiving prenatal care at selected hospitals with information about local childcare options, early intervention programs, and financial assistance. The program targets five hospitals chosen for geographic diversity, high low-income patient volume, and areas with childcare shortages. Hospitals will distribute tailored packets during the first trimester, listing nearby childcare centers, early intervention services, and application instructions for financial aid. The program includes optional parent surveys to track enrollment impacts and requires a final report by June 2028 analyzing effectiveness and potential expansion.
