AN ACT CONCERNING LIENS FOR VIOLATIONS OF THE HOUSING CODE OR PUBLIC PLACE ORDINANCES.

HB 6530 makes unpaid penalties for housing code violations or public place ordinance violations automatically become a legal claim (lien) against the property where the violation occurred. This applies to property owners who fail to pay these penalties, starting from the date the penalty was issued. The bill changes existing law to ensure such penalties can be enforced through the property itself, without requiring separate legal action to establish the lien.
