SB 460 Connecticut Senate · 2024 Regular Session

AN ACT CONCERNING THE CONVEYANCE OF A PARCEL OF STATE LAND IN THE TOWN OF ENFIELD.

This bill authorizes the state to transfer a 14.5-acre parcel of land in Enfield to the town for use as recreational or open space. The Department of Correction will handle the transfer at no cost to the town, though the town must cover any survey expenses if needed. The town must keep the land for its intended purpose or return ownership to the state if it fails to do so, leases the land, or sells off any part of the parcel. A state review board must approve the transfer within 30 days, and the state will retain control of the land until the official deed is signed.
