AN ACT LEASING A PARCEL OF STATE LAND IN THE TOWN OF WOODSTOCK.

This bill authorizes the state of Connecticut to transfer ownership of a 19.3-acre parcel of land in Woodstock to the YMCA of Metropolitan Hartford for use as Camp Woodstock. The transfer will cost the organization only the administrative fees required to process the deed, with the State Properties Review Board required to approve the transaction within thirty days. The legislation includes a condition that the land will revert to state ownership if the YMCA fails to use it for camp purposes, does not retain full ownership, or leases the property to others. Once the transfer is complete, the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection will no longer manage the site, though the deed will include specific clauses ensuring the land remains dedicated to the camp's seasonal recreation needs.
