AN ACT CONCERNING EDUCATION MANDATE RELIEF, SCHOOL DISCIPLINE AND DISCONNECTED YOUTH.

This bill creates a new advisory council to review the costs and implementation of state mandates requiring educators to complete professional development and training. The council will be composed of representatives from various education organizations and school staff, who will meet annually to assess these requirements and report their findings to the legislature. Additionally, the bill requires the state Department of Education to build a secure, statewide database starting in 2025 to track and manage records of educator training completion.
