Capitol Building Advisory Committee Modifications

Added the Capitol Building Annex and Legislative Services Building to the list of locations where art and memorial proposals must be submitted to the advisory committee for evaluation.

Added requirement that proposals for fund-raising efforts to place art or memorials in the Capitol Building Annex or Legislative Services Building must also be submitted to the advisory committee.

Expanded the list of reasons items original to the Capitol Building may be temporarily removed to include loan, exhibit, research, and disposition, in addition to conservation.

Added requirement that proposals involving the surrounding grounds of the Capitol Building Annex and Legislative Services Building must be submitted to both the capital development committee and the governor for approval.

Added new sponsor 'Cutter' to House sponsorship list and updated bill summary header from 'Engrossed' to 'Reengrossed' with revised amendment language.

Inserted new bill summary section dated April 23, 2025, indicating the reengrossed version includes all House amendments.

Added coverage for public areas of the Capitol Building Annex and Legislative Services Building to the art evaluation requirements.

Modified the rules for items originally part of the Capitol building to allow temporary removal for conservation, loan, exhibit, research, or disposition purposes.

Removed a specific subsection (3.5)(c) that previously required original Capitol items to remain in the building at all times without temporary removal options.
