AN ACT FOR THE INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION REAPPROPRIATION.

SB 196 reallocates unused funds from previous appropriations to Arkansas State University, Arkansas Tech University, and Henderson State University for specific campus projects. It directs $25 million for Arkansas State's general construction and maintenance, $2 million for an Art District, and $1.47 million for Arkansas Tech's Brown Building renovation, among other allocations. The bill specifies exact dollar amounts for deferred maintenance, equipment replacement, technology upgrades, and facility repairs across all three institutions. These funds are drawn from previously authorized budgets (Act 108 of 2024 and Act 24 of 2024) and become effective July 1, 2025.
