Added traditional healing services as a covered benefit under AHCCCS for members who qualify through Indian Health Services or tribal facilities, subject to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services approval and available funding.

Traditional healing services are only covered when the member qualifies through Indian Health Services or a tribal facility and the service is delivered by or through those facilities.

Appropriated $1,300,000 from the state general fund for fiscal year 2025-2026 to fund traditional healing services under the AHCCCS program.

Added requirements that traditional healing services must comply with 42 Code of Federal Regulations section 136.12 conditions of participation and be delivered through approved Indian Health Service or tribal facility providers.
