Disapproving Executive Order No. 132.

This bill disapproves Executive Order No. 132, which the governor proposed to transfer management duties for the Alaska Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve from the Advisory Council to the Department of Natural Resources and to eliminate the council. Under Alaska state law, an executive order becomes effective unless the legislature rejects it within 60 days by passing a resolution in joint session. By voting to disapprove the order, the legislature prevents the transfer of authority and the dissolution of the advisory council.
