An Act relating to big game hunts for persons with physical disabilities; and providing for an effective date.

This law allows the state Board of Game to create special hunting seasons for big game in Alaska specifically for people with physical disabilities. To participate in these hunts, individuals with disabilities must be accompanied by a licensed hunter who is able to retrieve the game. The legislation clarifies that these rules do not limit a municipality's existing power to manage its own land or control firearm use. The law takes effect immediately, with the Board of Game having the authority to adopt necessary regulations to implement the new hunting seasons.
