Jackson County Probate Judge, salary revised

HB 574 revises the compensation for the Judge of Probate in Jackson County, Alabama. Starting October 1, 2025, the bill sets the annual salary for the judge at $132,000, which will be paid from the county's general fund. This new salary will replace all previous forms of compensation, expense allowances, or fees the judge received. Additionally, the judge will be entitled to the same uniform cost-of-living and other compensation increases granted to all Jackson County employees after that date. The bill also repeals prior state code sections related to the judge's compensation.
