Physicians; Retired Senior Volunteer Program administered by Medical Examiners Board, qualifications to participate revised

Removed the requirement that retired physicians must perform at least 100 hours of voluntary service annually to qualify for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.

Added a requirement that applicants certify they intend to limit their medical practice to outpatient services at approved free clinics or nonprofit organizations.

Added a requirement that applicants furnish certification of their employment arrangements or agreement with the qualified clinic or nonprofit organization.

Added new eligibility criteria requiring applicants to certify they have never had their medical license revoked, suspended, or placed on probation in any state or jurisdiction.

Added a requirement that applicants certify they have not had hospital medical staff privileges revoked, suspended, curtailed, limited, or surrendered while under investigation.

Modified enforcement provisions to clarify that certificates issued under this section expire annually and that the Board has full discretion to accept or reject renewal applications.

Added effective date of October 1, 2025 for the act.
