Montgomery County; sheriff's office, authorize the use of credit cards

This bill authorizes the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office to use a credit card for approved purchases of property and services. To ensure responsible use, the sheriff must create written rules that set spending limits per transaction and per month, restrict card access to the sheriff or their designee, and require regular audits and monthly bill reviews. The sheriff is also instructed to choose a card provider based on factors like fees, interest rates, and potential rewards, with any earned rewards going into the Sheriff's Fund. The law takes effect on October 1, 2024.
